Once Rachel told me that I was her best friend.
I was touched so I said "Thanks!" and left it at that.
She thought that that meant that she wasn't
my best friend and I have been trying ever since to explain to her that she
is my best friend.
But she
is my best friend.
People always say to us "Do you ever wish you didn't have to share a birthday?"
Or
"What it's like to be twins?"
No! I have never once in my life wished I didn't have to share a birthday.
And as for what it's like to be a twin:
It's hard to explain what it's like to be a twin.
It's kind of hard to explain something that you have always been.
It's like asking someone who has been blind from birth what it's like to be blind.
But I'll tell you one thing: It's a whole lot of fun being a twin!!!
You are never alone.
And life is NEVER, EVER boring!
In our house we are devided up with two kids in each bedroom.
Rachel and I share a bedroom while Jessica and Emily share one right down the hall.
Long after bedtime(9:30) Jessica and Emily (the model children) are quietly reading. The light of their little lamps cast a faint glow while down the hall Rachel and I are still talking and laughing and usually cleaning with the lights on and the music playing.
We have so much fun together that I can't imagine what it's like to not have a twin.
I feel sorry for people who don't have a twin.
Happy birthday to my best friend!!!
Love,
You best friend! :)
