#8 A Thank You Note To Someone Who Has Changed Your Life
To my first violin teacher Bria C.
Thank you for calling us that day to tell us that you would be willing to teach us.
Thank you for teaching me that
'You are rarely too young and never too old to "Twinkle"".
You taught me how to "look like you know what you're doing."
If it weren't for you I would still be staring at my church orchestra wishing I was a part and wondering how on earth musicians do what they do!
You taught me to be picky.
It's what musicians do and I don't know why because none of their friends like it but that's the way we are.
If it weren't for you I would still think that Classical Music was boring(yes, I used to think that)!
You taught me that, no, the pegs are not just there for decoration.
If it weren't for you I would still be out of tune!!!
And you taught me that sticking tape on your fingerboard may not look cool but it gets you to where you need to be.
If it weren't for you I would still be looking for that F sharp.
Thank you for all that you have done to teach me about the violin.
I will never forget it.
In Christ,
Erin P.

#7 Five Things I Couldn't Live Without
Sunday, January 16, 2011
It's(not)Official!
We (do not) have a new member of the dog family!
She came to our porch this morning(we were at home from church because we have the influenza).
We think she was abandoned and she looks like she might be about 6weeks old.
Day #5 A Favorite Quote
My sister keeps beating me to the punch on the questions!
I have to try hard to keep up!
Anyway, a favorite quote.
My favorite quote doesn't carry a whole lot of wisdom with it but I think it's pretty funny.
Here it is:
"If someone doesn't like you, you should not take it personally."

The Sad Saga Of The Lost Story or Day #3 A Favorite Book
Once upon a time,
a time not too long ago,
there was a young girl who read a story. She loved it so much that as soon as she reached the last page she immediately started the story over again.
But the time came to return that book to the library and the girl forgot the title and the author and everything about that book except that she loved it very much.
So from that day on that girl
(who is 15 now and knows better)
writes down the title of her favorite books.
#1 Stradivarius' Genius by I don't know
#2(have you ever noticed that I always have multiple answers?)Radical by David Platt
#3 The Pioneer Woman Cookbook
P.S. I changed me song choices. Am I allowed to do that?

The're Here!!!
The Lessons&Carols Photos!!!
Now I know you guys are probably not as exited as I am but I'm going to post them anyway.
Here are Mr.F. and Mrs. Joyce playing O' Holy Night which is the only reason I go(well maybe not but it's the #1 reason).
All of the musicians playing(well almost all. Mostly just bits&pieces).
Here's a picture of all of us at practice!!!

My three sisters Jess, Rach, and Emily with some other nice people.
Jess and Rach with Jessica and Madison all singing together.
I was supposed to sing that one too but I missed the memo. Oops!
#2 A Favorite Movie
Okay, this one is pretty easy!
I like Ratatouille by Pixar
National Treasure(I think it's by Disney and someone else)
and The Eden String Quartet by Franklin Springs(it's AWESOME!!!)
I also just saw How To Train Your Dragon and I thought it was good even though there were some words and such in there that I didn't like.
And The Young Victoria was very good even though parts of it (like the part about the servants) I didn't understand very well(maybe if I were from England I would).

The 30 Day Blog Challenge
Okay here's the deal: I found this blog challenge on A Warriors Heart and thought it might be fun so I'm going to do it but I 'm a little behind(10 days) but I will not let that stop me so here goes.
These are the questions that I have to answer over the next 30 days. I will probably not post every day because we are trying to stick to a more strict schedule for the school year so I'm not going to do a whole lot of playing around. But we will see.)
Anyway here are the questions:

The After Christmas Letdown...
For most people the "After Christmas Letdown" comes...well...after Christmas when the presents are all unwrapped and the parties are all over and the turkey is eaten and the last of the friends and relatives have driven away.
Not me.
I got the "After Christmas Letdown" right as the last notes of Joy To The World faded away at the end of our churches Lessons&Carols service.
I would have cried but I didn't want to make a spectacle of myself right in front of the whole church+ a few guests. And the entire orchestra was sitting right there, with me in the second row and Hannah, and Madison and Mrs. Joyce and the violin professor and his wife who is the viola professor and all of other musicians right there And for them, this was just another gig. But for me it was more than just another gig. For me this is the event of the year! I look forward to it more than I look forward to birthdays or Christmas or...or...
ANYTHING!!!
I LOVE Lessons&Carols!!! I'm crazy about it!!! For 364 days out of the year I walk around the house saying: "I love Lessons&Carols."
But on the 365th day I walk around the house saying" I LOVE LESSONS&CAROLS!!!"
Just ask my family.
I will post photos of the event after the photographer uploads them to the web(which will probably be sometime around May).

I'm Back!!!
Did you miss me???
No?
Oh well, I'm back all the same!!!
What with new years resolutions and all I've been really busy.
Last year I resolved to organize my sock drawer.
And no, I never organized my sock drawer because I DIDN'T HAVE ONE!!!
So during the last week of 2010 I CREATED ONE!!!
Yay for me!!!
Now as to 2011 resolutions...
Here a few:
#1Learn to do the splits(random, I know, but I think I can do it).
#2Read my bible and write in my journal at least every-other-day(the part about the bible was changed slightly because I decided to read Bible~In~A~Year so never mind)
#3 Complete two levels of math(oh my!!!)
#4Leard to play Prime Violin for Vivaldi's For Seasons(was that my idea!?!?!?).
#5 Read Pride&Prejudice(I tried reading it a long time ago and gave up but I've been watching LOTS of "Ye Olden English" movies so I think I can handle it now.)
And I can't remember any more resolutions (which is a probably a good thing) so I will stop now.
Se ya all later!!!
